Runners from the Keys, parts of Florida, Colorado and other states downed beers and ran four laps on Dec. 10. As part of a weekend of racing in Islamorada for the half marathon and 10K, day one saw the Beach ’n’ Beer Mile. Runners drank a total of four beers during the run around Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina. Andrew Killinger, 41, of Parker, Colorado took first-place in the competitive division with a time of 9 minutes and 16 seconds. Jennifer Pressley, 45, of Jupiter, Florida, was the top female runner in the competitive division with a time of 13 minutes and 52 seconds.
