Marathon’s neighborhoods may be more spread out than most around the country, but as December rolls around there are plenty of holiday lights to be found in town — if you know where to look. Thanks to tips from our readers, Keys Weekly was able to track down many of the best holiday displays on a nighttime drive around town. This week, the focus was on individual homes, and we have to say, the effort was spectacular. For those who may not see them in person, please enjoy a sampling of Marathon’s brightest holiday lights.
Santa’s sleigh and Baby Yoda – ahem, Grogu – on Grassy Key’s Guava Ave. A full-yard display lights up Orange Avenue. A full-yard display lights up Orange Avenue. A lighted archway to a winter wonderland on 109th Street Gulf. Palm trees and flamingos on Bruce Court. Santa makes another appearance in a forest of lighted palms on Tuna Drive. The end of 63rd Court sports an impressive two-house display (thanks to our readers for this tip).
