ISLAMORADA FIRE RESCUE GUIDES SANTA, HELPERS AROUND TOWN

A lighted caravan of first responder vehicles escorted Santa and Mrs. Claus’ sleigh through neighborhoods from Caloosa Cove Marina to Plantation Shores on Dec. 13. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event sponsored by the Islamorada Firefighters Benevolent Association and Islamorada Fire Rescue kept Santa’s sleigh moving and made no stops, stopping the donation truck only briefly to collect toys and encouraged everyone to refrain from gatherings outside of immediate family. They hope to return to the usual route and stops next year.
