Monroe County Sheriff’s Office K9 Coral is safer in her new ballistic vest — a donation made by Key Largo veterinarian Dr. Robert Prosek.

Prosek is a longtime supporter of the Sheriff’s Office as well as the owner of Florida Veterinary Cardiology. He previously provided a ballistic vest to K9 Mako.

“Thank you to Dr. Prosek for these awesome K9 vests,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “Partnerships with community leaders like Dr. Prosek are what makes this community such a great place to live, work and play.”

Prosek has donated ballistic vests to other K9 units in an effort to keep every law enforcement K9 in Monroe and Miami-Dade counties as safe as possible.
