Key West senior Naima Thomas had a stellar season with the Lady Conchs cross country program and has decided to take her talents to the next level. The 2025 state qualifier has committed to run cross country at Nova Southeastern University.

Key West coach Keara McGraw is elated to be part of Thomas’ transition from 5K runner to D2 recruit.

“Naima has shown what passion and dedication to the sport can get when you set your goals high and put in the work to get there,” McGraw said of Thomas, adding that she is “an all-around high-level student athlete.”

Thomas, who attended Sugarloaf School prior to Key West, started her running endeavors as a Shark and after four years of donning a red Conch uniform, will once again run in blue as a Shark at Nova.
