KIDS WEEKLY: NYAH RUSSELL

“Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.” — John F. Kennedy

The Keys Weekly is proud to introduce local middle-school students in our Kids Weekly feature.  Instead of asking about their favorite teacher or school subject, we want to know what superpower they’d most like to have, their favorite YouTube channel and the hardest part about being a kid today.

To have your fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders included, please contact Key West Editor Mandy Miles at mandy@keysweekly.com for the questionnaire and directions for photo submissions.

Special thanks to Sigsbee Charter School student Jack Mitchell and teacher Jessica Forsythe for helping us assemble the new Kids Weekly feature.

Name:  Nyah Russell

School: Sigsbee Charter School

Grade: 6

Activities: Basketball

What superpower would you most like to have, and why? Telekinesis, so I could move things closer with my mind.

If you could make a rule for the whole world to follow, what would it be? For everyone to chase their dreams.

What makes you laugh? My friends and family.

When do you think a kid is old enough to have a cell phone? 8 years old

What’s your favorite YouTube Channel?  I do not know.

The hardest part about being a kid is … not having as much power as others.

The hardest part about being an adult must be … the money part.
When I grow up, I want to … live a casual life, not being famous, just normal and living life to the fullest with my friends and family.
