The Marathon Weekly is proud to partner with Marathon Middle High School faculty and students in choosing “The Student of the Week.” Recipients are chosen on qualifications including academic standing, athletics, outstanding achievements, community involvement, individuality and moral fortitude. We thank our future leaders and MMHS for allowing us to share in a weekly dose of “Fin Pride,” and for giving us a glimpse into their world.

What is something most people don’t know about you? I don’t eat seafood.

Who is your all-time favorite teacher and why? Ms. McDaniel, because she’s my mom.

What does “a good education” mean to you? A good education means a lot to me because it determines your future.

What is something you know now that you didn’t know when you were in sixth grade? School comes before sports.

What organizations and activities are you involved with at MMHS and why are they important to you? Softball, volleyball, soccer, NJHS. They are important to me because they keep me occupied when I’m not at school.

What are your plans after high school? Attend UM and study medicine.

What do you hope to be remembered for at MMHS? As a good athlete.

What is one favorite way to spend your spare time? I love spending my spare time with my little brother playing softball/baseball.

Will you make the Keys your permanent home? No. I wasn’t born here so I am going to move back home to Orlando.

What three things would you like to accomplish before your 10-year reunion? 1. Own a fluffy chicken. 2. Finish med school. 3. Buy my mom a house.
