Local artist Rock Solomon needs support! - A woman sitting on a table - Surgery

Just over a month ago, identical twin sisters Aria and Aurora were born to Rock Solomon and Michele Muse.

The girls were more than three months premature and after a sudden onset of TTTS (a disease of the placenta that affects identical twin pregnancies) on Aug. 18 their mom was airlifted to Miami … but it was too late. They lost Aria and an emergency surgery had to be done to save her sister. Aurora. She survived and was rushed to the NICU weighing less than one pound. Rock and Michele believe she is a fighter, and gave her the middle name of Phoenix.

Aurora will be considered an at-risk infant for the next two years but she is hanging in there like a rock star. She is expected to be in the hospital for the rest of 2014. Rock and Michele relocated from Key West, and are staying in Miami to be closer to their surviving daughter.

With rising medical bills and travel costs, combined with a loss of work, this family needs Key West’s support.

Rock and Michele appreciate all of the help whether it is donations, prayers, or simple thoughts of love and positive energy. Already, they have raised more than $8,000 of a $15,000 goal. If you would like to help relieve them of their financial burden, please go to www.gofundme.com/AuroraPhoenix.
