Get ready for a celebration of creativity and community spirit as Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys (HFHUK) presents “Manatee Madness.”
This online auction raises funds to build affordable housing and features manatee statues and mailboxes designed by local artists and organizations including Finders Keepers Coconuts, Keef Paints, Ocean Studies Charter School, Pasta Pantaleo, Plantation Key School, Seaside Glassworks, Treasure Village Montessori, Tere Kelley, of Key Largo Art Gallery, and Valerie Perreault Studios.
Visit www.habitatupperkeys.org to bid on artworks beginning Monday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m and ending Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
To kick off the event, the manatee artworks will be on display at City Hall Café, 88511 Overseas Highway, Tavernier on Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 6:30-8 p.m. and Morada Way Art Walk, 151 Morada Way, from 6 to 9 p.m.
All of the proceeds from “Manatee Madness” will be contributed to the construction of affordable housing in the Upper Keys. By bringing art enthusiasts, local businesses and community members together, HFHUK aims to make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
