“We can hear the giggles,” said Bette Zirkelback of the neighborhood children who sneak into the yard to marvel at the incredible Halloween installation — witches, cauldrons, pumpkins and scary dolls. “Oh, that doll. My sister gave it to us. It’s horrible. But it’s part of the display.” Zirkleback and friend Bob McElory and her children Belle and Bing put up the decorations every year. And every year, they add more. The witches and the cauldron are new this year, she said. The family lives in the Crane Point subdivision in Marathon. LARRY BENVENUTI/Contributed
