MARATHON’S BASEBALL TEAM IS OFF TO A GOOD START

Marathon’s Ben Hiller takes a swing.

Marathon High Baseball is up and running, with the team going 1-1 last week.

“I am extremely excited for this season and for the group of young men we have here in the program,” said head coach Joey Gonzalez. “We opened with two extremely hard-fought battles that we fell just short on, but showed great bounce-back ability with a huge conference win 7-1 on Feb. 26. I look forward to building on this momentum throughout the season.”

Marathon’s next home game is Friday, March 5 at 7 p.m. against Doctors Charter from Miami.
