The Monroe County Tax Collector offices reopened to the public on May 11 with limited services.
Tax Collector Danise Henrique is still encouraging customers to continue to do their transactions online when possible rather than in person. Online services are available at www.monroetaxcollector.com. There is no convenience fee when using an e-check online.
Henriquez closed her offices to the public on March 23 as a way to reduce the chance of spreading the coronavirus.
The tax collector offices at the Key West, Key West Driver License, Marathon, Plantation and the Key Largo locations will reopen with the following restrictions:
- The offices are following the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention guidance, limiting the number of customers gathering in lobbies.
- Only the person completing the transaction will be permitted to enter the lobby.
- Customers are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing while in the office.
- Some services remain canceled until further notice, including driver license road tests and concealed weapons permit applications (although Florida Resident renewals can be processed).
