Santa and Mrs. Claus made their rounds in Islamorada on the evening of Dec. 14. Guided by lighted and decorated Islamorada Fire Rescue trucks, the sleigh was placed on a trailer as Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted residents in communities from Lower Matecumbe to Plantation keys. Families and their kids took a moment to get pictures, and generous residents also donated unwrapped gifts to support a local toy drive led by the fire rescue and Mayor Sharon Mahoney. The visit spanned more than 25 stops and ended a little after 9 p.m. on Plantation Key’s Bee Street.
