The Zonta Club and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office team up to give the entrance of Marathon Middle School a facelift. Students and adult volunteers cleaned, painted and generally tidied the area under the general direction of Sgt. Linda Mixon. The effort was aided by Deputy Nancy Torrijos, the Sheriff Explorers, The Home Depot on Marathon, Centennial Bank, Publix, Gonzalez Landscaping and Superior Exterior owner Jerry Dieguez.
