Phoenix is a male terrier/shepherd mix. The 3-year-old is gentle, well-mannered and affectionate. He just wants to be close to you. He is incredibly smart. He is well-trained and learns quickly. Phoenix loves to play with other dogs and he would be great in a home with other pets to keep him company. He is pretty good with cats, but he might try to play or chase them at first. He does not have a mean or aggressive bone in his body. Phoenix had some kind of trauma to his back end at some point in his life and has one very minor medical condition – while he does go potty outside normally, when he is inside for long periods of time he occasionally has very minor fecal incontinence. The foster is simply keeping a diaper on him when she leaves the house and overnight just to be safe, but says it is not even a daily issue … just an occasional “tootsie roll” to dispose of. MarrVelous Pet Rescues is having Xx-rays and other scans performed to determine if anything can be done to correct the problem. But for now, it is easily manageable and totally worth the small effort for this amazing boy. Phoenix is looking for his furever home.
