Amy Bradshaw has been working in the health and fitness industry for 23 years. She received her license in massage therapy from Boulder School of Massage Therapy in 1995 and has expanded her practice by specializing in sports injury.

Over the years she has added additional certifications including group fitness, triathlon coaching, Pilates and spin instructor, all in order to better serve and help her clients. She enjoys using these skills to help people stay healthy.

What’s your hometown? Holtsville, New York (Long Island)

How long have you lived in the Keys? Going on 19 years this lobster mini-season.

What brought you here? I was living out west and decided to move closer to home. Most of my family had migrated to Florida, so my mom thought I would love Key West.

What do you like most about life in the Keys? The people.

What’s on your bucket list? Iron Man

You’re a very active human. What have you been doing to stay busy during isolation? I have set up a home gym for sanity—and lots of running and indoor cycling.

Speaking of health, you must have a guilty pleasure. C’mon, what is it? Wine, for sure.

What are you looking forward to doing this summer once things (hopefully) open up? Travel (hopefully).

It’s been great to see you teaching remotely. (thank you) What have you learned from that experience? That I’m probably not meant to be a movie star! Oh—and that I need to teach!

What are three things you couldn’t live without? My family, exercise and wine

Assuming all high school experiences resemble ’80s movie tropes, who were you … the mean girl, the jock, the nerd? I was actually kind of a combo, I would have to say!

What’s your favorite Sunday Funday activity? Biking with friends to Baby’s Coffee and brunch.

Take-out or cook at home? Cook at home, for sure. I have enjoyed actually having more time for it.

Any secret talents or party tricks? It’s kind of embarrassing, and I try not to do it anymore, but my husband will tell you I can open a beer bottle with my back teeth.

You have a lovely brood. What do you guys enjoy doing most as a family? I would say traveling. It’s when we really get uninterrupted time together.

What’s the best concert you’ve ever attended? My first Grateful Dead concert. The first time I saw them live I became a fan for life, but I do love live music in general.

Whom do you most admire? My mom. She was a single mom and raised my brother and me on her own. She is amazing.

Any pets? Two cats: Con Leche and Tucker

Finish these sentences:

My friends and family would describe me as … caring and energetic.

I can never refuse … wine.
