MARATHON FALLS TO KEY WEST 5-0 ON THE SOCCER FIELD

The first event at Key West High’s new “Back Yard” was a soccer match. Marathon traveled to Key West for the first game on the new artificial turf. Key West prevailed with a 5-0 shutout of the Dolphins. The Conchs’ freshman forward Anelson Azard put on a scoring clinic with three goals. Next up: Marathon has a home game against Everglades Prep at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 and Key West travels to St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, Jan. 23 for a 3 p.m. game.
