unners descended to Marathon’s Sombrero Beach on Oct. 19 for the All-County Cross Country race. The boys division was won by Marathon’s Pedro Zapata and the girls division was won by Catarina Dubyk-Cassidy, of Key West. Marathon runners rounded out the top three in the girls’ race, as Mikkel Ross and Maeve Merryman took 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. “Coach Joey Gonzalez and myself were pleased with the results and the progression the runners have had all season,” said head coach James Murphy. “All the runners are peaking at the right time, and we are excited to start our postseason run this week.”
