A Key West native made quite an appearance at last month’s NFL Hall of Fame game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions in Canton, Ohio.

Lt. Caleb Hiller, a fighter pilot with the U.S. Navy, was one of two aviators chosen to fly the Navy’s F/A-18 Super Hornets in a flyover above the stadium on July 31.

The pilots were also introduced on the field during halftime.

“I’m so proud of all our service men and women in uniform who chose to serve our country to protect us all and our freedoms,” Hiller’s mother, Mercy, said of her son’s supersonic flyover.
