BREAKING: Key West cross-designates police as code enforcement, making refusals to sign civil citations arrestable

City of Key West cross-designates all sworn Key West Police Department officers as code enforcement officers, effective immediately, “so refusal to sign a civil citation is now an arrestable offense,” City Manager Gregory Veliz wrote to Key West Police Chief Sean Brandenburg on June 29.
