The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said one of the most wanted drug offenders in the Keys was arrested Monday.
It all began when a 911 call by 51-year-old Jerneen Green reported her adult son was armed with a sword and threatening to kill her and others at their Stock Island residence.
Deputies were called to an 11th Avenue residence on Stock Island around 2 p.m. after Jereen called 911 to report that Zjiavon Green, 31, had been drinking alcohol and was damaging property, as well as swinging a katana-style sword. Zjiavon could be heard threatening Jerneen and responding deputies on the 911 call.
Zjiavon was taken into custody in the back yard. He stated the incident started due to an argument with his mother, Jerneen, who was also arrested at the scene for drug-related warrants.
The katana-style sword was found at the residence. No injuries were reported.

Zjiavon was charged with aggravated assault. Jerneen was taken into custody on arrest warrants for trafficking cocaine, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking hydrocodone and cocaine sales, as well as multiple charges of drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession, among other charges.
