New location, new styles at Islamorada boutique

Evolve Boutique is located on Morada Way in the heart of Islamorada.

Having opened their new Islamorada boutique in November 2019, Jodi Mientkiewicz and Danielle Pierog closed the doors like other nonessential businesses in the Keys due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

A little more than two months later, however, Mientkiewicz and Pierog flipped the closed sign to open — this time at a new location in the heart of the village.

Evolve Beauty & Boutique is welcoming patrons with renewed energy at its shop within a vibrant Morada Way Arts & Cultural District in Islamorada (formerly home to Elena Madden’s Studio Gallery). Featuring fun, trendy clothing of a wide variety and various styling services, the two owners and fashion extraordinaires are elated to be back in business.

“We really feel like we’re in the right spot here,” Mientkiewicz said.

Originally from Miami, Mientkiewicz moved to the Keys in 2010. She formerly worked at Zero Dress Code before reconnecting with Pierog, whom she’s known for many years. Pierog grew up in the Keys, having graduated from Coral Shores High School. She ran D-Luxe Boutique for a number of years until its closure after Irma.

The two women reconnected last summer and decided to embark on a new business venture, eager to show their take on affordable fashion while bringing an enjoyable experience for those looking to get their nails done.

“We’ve grown as women, and with our boutique, it’s a great way for others to express themselves and grow and change,” Pierog said. “We jumped on the opportunity at this location and it’s been amazing.”

With a front showroom for outfits, jewelry and more also comes a changing room and pampering services in the back, where a small group can get manicures, pedicures, facials and more.

“The reception has been great. We’ve had a steady flow of walk-ins and those on bikes stopping in,” Mientkiewicz said. “We’re really humming with energy.”

“We’ve had locals come in who can’t wait to come back to see what we have,” Pierog said.

Evolve Beauty & Boutique is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit @Evolve_Islamorada on Instagram or Evolve Beauty & Boutique’s Facebook for more.
