IN PICTURES: KEY WEST BESTS MARATHON IN BOYS BASKETBALL

On Jan. 28, rivals reunited as Key West traveled to Marathon for a boys’ basketball showdown. Though Marathon put up a valiant effort, the Dolphins fell to the Conchs, 48-29. “The last time we played Key West, we lost by 40. We lost by 19 this time, so there was some definite improvement,” said head coach Kevin Freeman. “We were happy with the effort and intensity that our team played with.” The Dolphins will look to get back in the win column on Friday, Feb. 4 as they host Coral Shores in another rivalry match.
