Floats decorated to the theme “Celebrating Freedom” and vehicles decked out in red, white and blue made their way up U.S. 1 for the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce’s 45th Fourth of July Parade. With candy thrown to children also came squirt gun wars between parade participants and spectators. Grand marshal Holly Raschein rode in a red Corvette driven by Dennis Caltagirone, chairman of the chamber board. Float winners included All American Towing for best business, Coastal Water Revitalization for most beautiful, Florida Keys Board of Realtors for best theme, and Upper Keys Republican Club for most patriotic.
