Dive boats, center consoles — and even a dinghy — lit up Blackwater Sound during the annual Key Largo Boat Parade on Dec. 13. Organized by the Key Largo Sunset Rotary Club, boats – some decorated to this year’s theme, “Grinch in the Keys” – rode up the sound past many spectators at bayside restaurants. Best in Parade went to Alex Antelo’ 28-foot vessel “Two to Tango.” Best Use of Theme went to Mike Josowitz’s boat “Controll Freak” and most color went to David Madison’s 23-foot boat. Best Business went to Mote Marine Laboratory’s boat. The procession was capped off with a fireworks display. A little rain didn’t dampen the 40th running of the boat parade.
