The Key West Association of Realtors 2022 hosted the annual installation and awards gala on Jan. 28 at the Casa Marina Resort. Friday was an evening of entertainment and celebration of achievements of Realtors and affiliate members. Jaime Caballero passed on her title of president of KWAR to Rick Haskins. The other 2022 officers are Derek Epperly, president-elect; Tina Masters, secretary; and Darrin Smith, treasurer. The 2022 board of directors are Sabrina Acevedo, Sara Dolson, Bascom Grooms, Megan McDowell, Laura McChesney, Miriam Novotny, Monique Theil and Stephanie Wise.
The Community Service Award was presented to Krystal Thomas. Kristen Eklund Dietrich with Coast 2 Coast Mortgage was named the Affiliate of the Year.The Rookie of the Year Award went to Stephanie Wise. Jaime Caballero received Realtor of the Year. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given posthumously to Cheryl Cates. The Edward B. Knight Legacy Award was presented to Kirsti Madeo. The president’s recognition awards were received by Dorian Patton of the city of Key West; Patti McLauchlin, of the city of Key West; Sam Steele, Monroe County tax collector; Kristen Livengood, Monroe County public information officer; and Scott Russell, Monroe County property appraiser.
