The Marathon High JV girls softball team is not afraid of a challenge. The team is made up of mostly middle school girls playing at the high school JV level, and playing against some high school varsity teams, too. Going into spring break with a 1-3 record, the Lady JV Fins have a win over Homestead’s Colonial Christian’s varsity team. “Our losses are to a very experienced Key West JV, to a varsity squad from Westwood Christian of Kendall and a much improved JV team from Keys Gate,” said head coach Thomas Bottomley. The JV Fins take the field again Thursday, March 28 against St. Brendan.
