The second annual Pickle in Paradise, hosted by the Key Largo Rotary Club, raised more than $12,000 to support scholarships for Upper Keys students pursuing both technical school certifications and college degrees.

The sold-out event brought players, spectators, sponsors and volunteers for a day of spirited competition and community camaraderie under sunny Florida skies. Held at Key Largo’s pickleball complex, the tournament showcased not only competitive play but also the incredible generosity of the Upper Keys community.

“We are overwhelmed by the incredible support from our community,” said the Key Largo Rotary Club. “From our players to our sponsors to our volunteers, everyone came together to make a meaningful impact for our local students.”

The club also offers sincere appreciation to Monroe County Parks & Recreation for developing an outstanding pickleball facility in Key Largo. The state-of-the-art courts provided the perfect setting for a first-class tournament experience and continue to enhance recreational opportunities for the entire community.

The third annual Pickle in Paradise is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 6, 2027. For more information about the Key Largo Rotary Club and its scholarship programs, please contact Cheryl Powers at 502-645-3578.
