SHERIFF DEPUTIES TAKE TO COMMUNITY FOR CLEANUP

Monroe County sheriff’s deputies spent a portion of the morning on July 16 picking up empty beer bottles and debris alongside the roadway near MM 80 in Islamorada. In about an hour, the deputies, office staff and Islamorada Public Works collected nearly 10 bags of garbage. Joining the cleanup was Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “This is all about deputies taking time of their day to volunteer and keep the community clean,” he said.
