Helping Habitat’s “A Brush with Kindness”

Habitat for Humanity of Key West & Lower Florida Keys officially kicked-off its new, “A Brush With Kindness” program. Crew members from the USCG Kodiak began their volunteer work at a home in Key West by cleaning up the yard. These crew members have volunteered with Habitat many times in the past and they are pleased to continue their work as Habitat moves into a more repair-oriented mission in the Lower Keys. There are several homeowners throughout the Lower Keys who have qualified to receive help from Habitat’s A Brush With Kindness, and the hope is that local businesses, neighbors and Habitat supporters will help fund the repairs, so these elderly residents can live in a safer, more secure environment for many years to come.
For information on contributing or on volunteering for Habitat, please contact the Habitat office at (305) 294-9006.
