The fourth annual Zombie Bike Ride takes place on Sunday, Oct. 20 and thousands of costumed bicyclists are expected to participate. The fun starts at 2 p.m. when the WeCycle Zombieland Lot opens on U.S.1 right before Cow Key Channel. Participants can have their faces painted or signup for the competition that starts at 5 p.m. Riders depart at 6:30 p.m. and make their way along the southern portion of the island — South Roosevelt — to the foot of Duval Street. Several after parties are planned.
The event includes a costume contest for best zombie couple, best zombie child, best zombified bike and best zombie adult.
Registration is free, but organizers are requesting a $5 donation to offset costs.
