Shaking off two years of pandemic-shuttered operations and a wave of last-minute disruptions resulting from the Omicron variant, the Key West Literary Seminar returned to action this month with a dazzling roster of literary talent and an audience of passionate readers. While the all-outdoor “Seminar Named Desire” looked, from afar, like nothing we’ve ever done before, to veteran attendees the fascinating series of onstage conversations had that only-in-Key-West quality that has come to be a hallmark of our annual gathering.
The seminar’s board of directors is reviewing feedback from this year’s event and settling on the venue for next year’s 40th annual seminar — “Singing America: A Celebration of Black Literature.”
Dates, details and registration options will be announced the first week of February.
