Kids eagerly waited for the caution tape to drop as they gazed at a lawn littered with Easter eggs during Spring Fest at Founders Park on April 19. With activities, entertainment and pictures with the bunny also came a mad dash for the colorful, plastic eggs containing treats. Egg hunters 12 and younger were sorted by age group. Within minutes, a lawn full of eggs became bare as kids popped open their eggs to see what was inside. Organized by Islamorada Parks & Recreation, Spring Fest also featured a Mad Hatter activity course, treats, music and other fun.
