Plastic bottles, bags and other debris weren’t the only items picked up during a recent coastal cleanup at a popular Upper Keys park.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a person conducting a clean-up on East Beach Road at Harry Harris Park in Tavernier came across a package of suspected cocaine. The discovery came as the person was cleaning the park of debris in the mangroves at 5:40 p.m. on Feb. 2. The brick contained the numbers ‘332.’

The sheriff’s office was noticed and the package was collected.
