The 27th Annual Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce Dolphin Tournament took place the same weekend as the 36th Annual Underwater Music Festival, with both events being hosted by the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce.
Teams vied for more than $35,000 in cash and prizes and weighed in at the event headquarters, Kiki’s Sandbar on Little Torch Key.
“This is the 27th year for the dolphin tournament. It’s a great family event,” said David Turner, executive director of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce. “We gear this tournament towards family fun, but also have some great money prizes for the adult anglers.”
Here are the results from the 3-day tournament:
1st ($7,500): Dreamweaver
2nd ($1,000): Natural 2
3rd ($500): Folklure Charters
4th ($300): Pirate’s Envy
Largest blackfin tuna ($500): Rejuvinator
Youth Division (anglers 15 and under):
1st and 2nd: Mason and Landon Delph
3rd: Cedric Mir
4th: Chris Harrell
