The Big Pine Key Flea Market will reopen this weekend, on Saturday, Nov. 23.

“We’re going to be back up to full occupancy,” owner Joe Marrama said, referring to the vendors. “It had dropped off a little since Hurricane Irma.”

He expects about 150 vendors will be on the site when the market gets into full swing. Marrama said there’s a new dollar store operation he recruited from his previous experience owning and operating flea markets on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.

“The fish fry is back — I know that’s a big deal — and so is the hot donut operation,” Marrama said, adding that the facilities have been renovated as well, including the restrooms.

The Big Pine Flea Market is located at 30250 Overseas Hwy. on Big Pine Key. It operates from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays.
