IN PICTURES: MARATHON RESIDENTS HOST 2 THANKSGIVING TURKEY TROTS

While the evening of Thursday, Nov. 25 undoubtedly left many with post-Thanksgiving food babies weighing down their bellies, more than a few ambitious Marathon residents gathered in the early morning for preemptive strikes against the impending onslaught of calories. Laura Rutskin Martin’s Hapynkeys Running Turkey Trot brought Marathon walkers and runners to Sombrero Beach Road, while Marie Blanton helmed the Grassy Key Turkey Trot on the east end of town. Kudos to all for having far more motivation and energy than the average American on Thanksgiving morning.
