The Marathon High School tennis team hosted the Key West Conchs on Feb. 19. Key West came away the victor in Marathon’s season opener. “Veterans Lillian Guo and Celine Ponzoa competed well, and first-time players Clare Merryman and Rylan Chapa far exceeded expectations,” said Marathon Coach Richard Lorenz, “and we had fun competing.” Marathon travels to Key West for a rematch on Friday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.
