The Southernmost Moose Lodge recently bought and donated a $1,000 gift certificate from Fausto’s Food Palace to help The Little Pantry regularly replenish the nonperishable food and supplies that are restocked daily.

The free Little Pantry started at 101 Geraldine St. in Bahama Village and has since opened a second location at St. James First Missionary Baptist Church at 312 Olivia St. A third pantry is being planned for the Moose Lodge on Eisenhower Drive.

“The project is entirely a grassroots, all-volunteer effort by a group that replenishes the small pantries on a daily basis,” said Kevin Paul Taylor, who helped establish the pantries. “The pantries are accessible to everyone 24/7, no questions asked.”
