KEY WEST’S HOLIDAY PARADE RECOVERS FROM COVID

There was an extra bit of holiday merriment on Dec. 4 in Key West, when thousands of people turned out for the city’s annual Holiday Parade, after officials reluctantly canceled last year’s event because of COVID.

Dozens of festive floats representing churches, businesses, families, friends, city departments and nonprofit organizations made their way down Truman Avenue to Duval Street, throwing piles of candy to throngs of kids. All made a joyful showing for the season.
