What do you enjoy about being on the soccer team? I enjoy playing at such a high level of competition. Whenever I am on the field, I feel my happiest. It is where I get to escape my outside world, and really just express myself. Really, the best part of being on the team is getting to play with all of my friends everyday.
How long have you been playing on the team? My grandmother was the person who introduced me to soccer when I was younger, and I’ve been in love with the game for eight years. I started off on the middle school team at MHS, and have worked my way up to the varsity team for the past two years.
Describe one of your best moments in athletics. The best moment in any sporting event is when you win with your teammates. My greatest achievement has been winning MVP (most valuable player) in my soccer league. I was so happy and grateful to my teammates, because I wouldn’t have been able to win the award without them.
Coach Arno says … “Play every game with everything you’ve got, because you don’t know when you’ll play again.” I take this quote to heart because I love playing soccer to my fullest potential and I leave it all on the field.
