Top thinkers from all walks of life explore Key West, then settle in at a stunning Lower Keys estate to discuss fascinating topics with skilled interviewer Matt Asher.

That’s the premise of the new “Mattasher Show” coming to PBS affiliates this fall.

Each 56-minute episode begins in Key West. Author, investor, podcaster and host Matt Asher shows each guest around the Southernmost City. The guests then join Asher at his Moray Bay estate on Big Pine Key for a “deep dive” into a variety of topics.

The show, and Asher’s skillful interview style, are reminiscent of “Inside the Actors Studio” with James Lipton, said producers Michael Kirk and Marial Martyn.

“Talking with everyone from mathematicians to musicians, authors to actors, astronauts to Fortune 500 CEOs, Matt and his guests delve into topics ranging from philosophy, culture and science to economics and the arts,” Kirk said. “The goal of each episode is to appreciate and understand the thinking of some of the world’s most brilliant people and their field of expertise.”

Upcoming guests include Neil deGrasse Tyson, Jane Goodall, Art Garfunkel, Tim Berners-Lee, Raul Malo and Hugh Laurie.

Asher and his wife, Carly, along with Kirk and Martyn, welcomed 75 or so Keys locals to Moray Bay on July 17, where they screened a preview of the “Mattasher Show” at the striking waterfront estate.
