This is not your average classic rock tribute band.
Come July 23 & July 24, a group of musicians with personal ties to the original band will take the Key West Theater stage to perform the greatest hits repertoire of the legendary folk-rock supergroup that reigned over the Woodstock generation Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
That’s David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young.
This deep dive into CSNY’s life and times brings to the stage Astrid Young, whose brother is Neil Young, James Raymond, son of David Crosby and others who performed with Crosby and CSNY’s Graham Nash.
Tickets are available online or at the Key West Theater box office, which is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. and on all show nights two hours prior to door time.
A uniquely personal musical tribute, “Our House: The Music of CSNY,” with a lineup of family and friends of the men who made the songs “Our House,” “Déjà Vu,” “Wooden Ships,” “Helpless,” “Long Time Gone,” “Teach Your Children,” and “Carry On,” and many more.
“Our House” is a chance for conertgoers to immerse themselves in the CSNY songs that inspired people during the turbulent 1960s, and learn firsthand about the band from those who knew them best.
The “Our House” musicians are all successful musicians in their own right. Astrid Young plans to perform some of her original songs as well.
They’ve been touring the country to pay tribute and bring to life their personal versions of the CSNY catalog.
“Our House” features musicians and professionals who know the songs and the supergroup members: Steve Postell, guitarist and musical director for David Crosby; Berry Duane Oakley, who played guitar and sang with the Allman Betts Band and Live Dead & Brothers; Jeff Pevar, lead guitarist for David Crosby, Graham Nash, CSN and Phil Lesh; Steve DiStanislao, a drummer who’s worked with David Crosby and David Gilmour; Michelle Wills, who’s played keyboards for David Crosby; Elijah Thomson, bassist with Father John Misty.
In addition, legendary CSNY photographer Henry Diltz and CSNY recording engineer Stephen Barncard will deliver some CSNY behind-the-scene tales that only they know.
