Monroe County residents can now obtain a paper title at any tax collector offices in the Florida Keys, thanks to the recent installation of specialized title-printing equipment, Monroe County Tax Collector Sam C. Steele announced recently.
Previously, residents could only obtain a printed title at the Key West main office or Plantation Key branch office locations.
“Adding these printers at every office makes it easy and convenient for residents to come in and get a printed title, or what we also commonly refer to as a ‘fast title,’” said Steele. “This is especially significant for Marathon area residents who previously had to drive two hours round trip for this service with hopes they would not have to make a return trip due to not having the proper documents at the time.”
The new title printers are the latest in a series of enhancements implemented by Steele. In late 2021, an online virtual assistant was added to MonroeTaxCollector.com to help customers
get answers to commonly asked questions and conduct business with the office 24/7.
