The show’s title says it all: Marathon residents will have One Weekend Only to see more than two dozen acts at Marathon Community Theatre’s annual variety-show fundraiser. From belly dancing and musical performances to stand-up comedy and even a glow-in-the-dark tap routine, the show runs the gamut to showcase a sampling of Marathon’s finest talent.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. shows on Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 24, 25 and 26, are $45 and include a buffet and champagne toast following the show. $30 tickets for a matinee on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. allow patrons to see the show at a lower rate without additional food and drinks. A wide range of silent auction items from local artists, businesses and private donors are available throughout the weekend, with all proceeds to benefit the theater.

“The key to our theater’s overall success is bringing in new members, new performers, new backstage help, new volunteers and new excitement,” said director Allison Sayer. “We have not only brought back seasoned performers and crew, but this show has many new faces on all parts of the stage.”
