UPPER KEYS WEEKLY’S STUDENT OF THE WEEK

The Upper Keys Weekly is proud to partner with Coral Shores’ faculty and staff in choosing “The Student of the Week.” Recipients are chosen on qualifications including academic standing, athletics, outstanding achievements, community involvement, individuality and moral fortitude. We thank our future leaders and CSHS for allowing us to share in a weekly dose of “Hurricane Pride,” and for giving us a glimpse into their world.

What is something most people don’t know about you? My baby brother is my favorite person.

Who is your all-time favorite teacher and why? Mrs Welch. I learned so much in AP Human, it has been my favorite class so far in high school. She has a great way of teaching that makes students excited to learn.

What does a good education mean to you? To me, it means effectively learning the students receive, as well as effective teaching from teachers. Our school does a good job at providing a good education.

What is something you know now that you didn’t know when you were a freshman? How fast these four years go by. I didn’t expect it to go by so quickly.

What organizations and activities are you involved with at Coral Shores and why are they important to you? I’m in the National Honor Society as well as Interact Club. They are important because we have many opportunities to give back to the community. I also play basketball.

What are your plans after high school? I plan on going to college to become a neonatal nurse.

What do you hope to be remembered for at CSHS? Being kind and trying my best.

What is one favorite way to spend your spare time? I love to play basketball, as well as spend time with my family.

Will you make the Keys your permanent home? Why or why not? No, I’d like to experience living somewhere that isn’t so small. The Florida Keys is great, I just would live in the city.
