Last November, I started a meetup group, “Share The Good Vibes,” and also a meetup Facebook group, “Good Vibes.” I was super excited as it’s something I had been thinking about for a long time and finally put it together. We were humming along, building momentum, and then we were quarantined.
But! The Facebook group was not quarantined. One of the main intentions of the meetup was to get outside and enjoy a beautiful setting as Michael from The Shoppes of The Village Trading Post kindly let us use their property. And now, a temporary shift.
This past week in the group, I posted a day-by-day intention. I plan to do it again and thought I would share it with you this virtual way as well.
And if you wish to join the Facebook group, Good Vibes, I would love to see you!
Monday Mantra
A great way to kick off the week!
Some of you may never have heard of a mantra, and that’s normal. It’s a way to say something positive to yourself, and it can help change your mindset.
Examples:
- I am amazing!
- I feel great!
- I love my life!
For those of you who use mantras, you know the incredible, even life-changing, effect they can have on you. If you don’t, give it a try!
Try It Tuesday
Tuesday’s intention was a cousin to Mantra Monday.
Last week, my eye was hurting very badly. I tried the mantra, “My eye is feeling better”, and it worked!
Changing your mind to think positive thoughts is powerful. Dr. Joe Dispenza writes about studies like this. If you are interested in learning more, I would suggest reading or listening to his books.
Wishful Wednesday
Here, I shared a quote from one of the most successful people of all time, Walt Disney.
First Think,
Second Believe,
Third Dream,
And Finally, Dare.
I think Walt Disney says it all. Take this time you have to do it.
Thankful Thursday
We can all be grateful for something. If you don’t know our story, when my husband Ryan and I moved down to The Keys after we were both laid off at the same time in 2009, we started over from scratch. It had many rough patches along the way but, we always could think of at least three things we were grateful for. Even if one was just nachos and cheese.
Fun Friday!
This one made me a little nervous to post because we all know what’s going on. But, to keep sane, why not try to think of something fun?
Even if your fun is watching Tik Tok or “It’s Sunny In Philadelphia” (yep, that’s my household), it’s imperative to have a laugh or two. I can easily laugh at my stupidity, so that counts as well.
Say It Saturday
Yes, say it out loud!
- Ask for help
- Say something positive
- Say something of gratitude
- Give a compliment
- Tell someone you love them
The positive words we say can impact someone’s life, and you don’t know until you say it.
Share It Sunday
Sharing never gets old, and guess what? It’s fun! I know I love to learn about others and pick up some new songs, tv shows, movies, books, etc.
On my Sunday morning walk, I changed it up and listened to an old favorite “In A Daydream” by The Freddy Jones Band. I sang loudly as no one was around and incorporated all the intentions of the week.
Try it.
