KIDS WEEKLY: EVA NORWOOD & PHOEBE MILLER

The Keys Weekly is proud to feature local middle-school students and their answers to some fun questions in our Kids Weekly segment. Instead of asking about their favorite teacher or school subject, we want to know what superpower they’d most like to have, their favorite YouTube channel and the hardest part about being a kid today.

We thank our future leaders and Plantation Key School for allowing us to share in a weekly dose of “Panthers” pride and for giving us a glimpse into their world.

What superpower would you most like to have, and why? Invisible power.

If you could make a rule for the whole world to follow, what would it be? To be nice.

The hardest part about being a kid is … tests.

The hardest part about being an adult must be … parenting. When I grow up, I want to … be an artist.

To have your fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth graders included, please contact Key West Editor Mandy Miles at mandy@keysweekly.com for the questionnaire and directions for photo submissions.

Thanks to Sigsbee Charter School student Jack Mitchell for compiling the photos and to teacher Jessica Forsythe for her assistance.

Eva Norwood

Grade: 6

Activities: I walk dogs, play softball and play with my two BFFs.

What superpower would you most like to have, and why? I would most like to have mind control, so I could stop fighting just by looking at whoever is fighting.

If you could make a rule for the whole world to follow, what would it be? Everyone is equal and no one will be treated unfairly.

What makes you laugh? When people do stupid stuff.

When do you think a kid is old enough to have a cell phone? I just got my phone a few months ago, so 11 or 12.

What’s your favorite YouTube Channel? Jerome AFS

The hardest part about being a kid is … Not getting enough respect. Everyone older than you thinks you’re just a dumb kid, no matter what.

The hardest part about being an adult must be … too much respect. Everyone thinks you know all the answers, but don’t.
When I grow up, I want to … be a professional softball player.
