LUCK OF THE IRISH IN KCB: ANNUAL PARADE DELIGHTS HUNDREDS

It was a pretty good day to be a kid – or a spirited onlooker – on St. Patrick’s Day in Key Colony Beach. The evening of March 17 meant the return of KCB’s annual parade, by far the biggest marker of the holiday in the Middle Keys under organizer Larry Smoot. A full fleet of cars, bicycles, golf carts, boats, trailers and walkers made their way from West to East Ocean Drive, tossing out gobs of candy, beads and lucky coins to all those who lined the streets. The Keys’ second-smallest city proved, once again, that it has no shortage of holiday spirit.
