“Throughout Justice’s athletic career at Marathon, she has proven what dedication and hard work can accomplish. I hope future student-athletes at MHS can learn from her success and sacrifices to be the best at their craft.” – Lance Martin, Marathon athletic director

Four years ago, Marathon’s Justice Lee Isom picked up track and field’s three throwing implements for the first time and, with her natural strength and supernatural work ethic, placed fourth, fifth and sixth as a freshman at districts. The following year, she captured a pair of district titles and a silver medal, then followed that with a triple-gold performance as a junior. Last week, Lee Isom successfully defended all three titles, once again sweeping gold in the javelin, shot put and discus to cement her place as Monroe County’s most accomplished track athlete in recorded history, amassing 100 district points over four years of dominant competition. For her sustained dominance and unmatched success at the district level, cementing a legacy few, if any, can match, Justice Lee Isom is the Keys Weekly Athlete of the Week.
